With so much content available now to scroll that doomscrolling is unavoidable !

You got me thinking and for me it’s all about the time you have and how free or busy or bored you are!

Technology has come to my rescue to not be doomed! Putting those so called timers on apps to be really not available or not open unless you put tons of effort is what does the trick sometimes!

Doomscrolling being unavoidable is spot on Damandeep - today's world is intentionally designed to be addictive on all fronts. More so on the content side. It's something I think about a fair bit - and how to counter it, cause it never "feels" good after the fact, lol

And yes, timers and blockers help. I've severely restricted notifications on my phone - that helps. Though it's time to update settings since I've added new apps haha. And I've recently started using a website blocker to write in the morning and not get distracted

It's about using technology, rather than being used by it (99.9% of people)

And as always, thanks for reading and sharing your thoughts - I appreciate it!

Haha, I feel you - I've had periods when I've been able to manage my mind better. Those are phenomenal! But doesn't happen all the time (though how I want that, lol).

And 😂 - it still qualifies for a "sea shell" doesn't it? I like the dagger idea - "deadly" force lmao

Yes they help a lot everywhere else. Whenever I let them go, I can feel the difference - it helps me to come back and mostly stay on track. I don't like the sucky stage lol

It's very hot - I try to find shade whenever I can and take care of my hydration 🙌🏻 otherwise it's always top cold or too hot to do anything
